This guide lists embedded wallet options for Starknet, based on each vendor's own documentation as of October 2026. Cavos, LLC publishes this page and Cavos is on the list, so the criteria come first and every row links to the source.
Starknet has native account abstraction: every wallet is an account contract. That makes two questions matter more than on other chains: which account contract the user gets, and who pays the gas. For background, see gasless Starknet transactions.
How we evaluated
- Starknet depth. Deploys an account and executes multicalls, or only produces a key.
- Account contract. Which implementation and whether it is audited.
- Gas. Paymaster sponsorship or user-funded.
- Custody. Who can produce a signature.
- Fit. General consumer apps, games, or payments.
Starknet embedded wallets compared
| Provider | Starknet support (vendor docs) | Account / gas | Key / custody model | Pricing |
|---|
| Cavos | Deploy and execute on Sepolia and mainnet. Arbitrary multicalls with wallet.execute(calls). | Audited OpenZeppelin account contract. Paymaster sponsorship. | Hardware-isolated, non-custodial. Stark key derived on the device. Keys never leave the device in plaintext and never sign on Cavos servers. | Free up to 1,000 wallets. Essential $59/mo. Complete $139/mo. |
| Cartridge Controller | Gaming-focused smart contract wallet with session keys and policy-based approvals. | Cartridge Controller account. See Cartridge docs for sponsorship. | Passkeys, social login, or external wallets as signers. | See Cartridge. |
| Chipi Pay | Passkey-signed Starknet wallets, session keys, recovery, and multi-signer. | Chipi paymaster pays gas. | Signing key in the device's secure enclave via passkey; Chipi states the app does not custody it. | See Chipi. |
| Privy | Tier 1: create, export, and sign with Starknet curve keys. No transaction signing or sending. | You deploy the account and pay gas. | TEE key infrastructure. | privy.io/pricing |
| MetaMask Embedded Wallets (Web3Auth) | Exposes the user's private key; you use starknet.js for accounts and transactions. | You choose the account and gas setup. | MPC with threshold signatures. | web3auth.io/pricing |
Not listed: Dynamic and Turnkey. Dynamic's embedded wallet chain table does not include Starknet, and Turnkey supports Secp256k1, Ed25519, and P256 curves, not the Stark curve. Both may change, so recheck.
When each one fits
- Cavos fits consumer Starknet apps that want an audited standard account, sponsored gas, and the same SDK on Solana and Stellar.
- Cartridge Controller fits onchain games that need session keys and a gaming identity layer.
- Chipi Pay fits payments apps, especially in Latin America, that want passkey wallets plus bill payment services.
- Privy and MetaMask Embedded Wallets fit teams already on those platforms for EVM that are willing to build the Starknet account and gas layer themselves.
Where Cavos stands on Starknet
Cavos is a non-custodial embedded wallet for Starknet, Solana and Stellar. On Starknet it deploys an audited OpenZeppelin account contract controlled by a stark key derived on the device, with Gas Sponsorship in Any Token through a paymaster. Read the Starknet wallet page, the custody model, pricing, and the quickstart.
